I AM Making Movies 2 is part of Auckland Museum’s eLearning strategy to support Inquiry Learning in primary and intermediate schools. In secondary schools, this competition also supports Digital Technologies, Drama, English and Media Studies.
Auckland Museum is full of objects just waiting to be brought to life and explored. Learning to think and explore the relationship between objects, people, places and events can lead to powerful and personal learning experiences.
This is an opportunity for students to use the Museum as a resource for creativity and inspiration. We hope to see surprising and unexpected connections drawn between collection objects and the students’ life experiences, interests and competition research projects. There is potential for students to combine NCEA Achievement Standards and Cambridge qualification studies with the I AM Making Movies 2 competition.
